By combining bit-compression and advanced multi-dimensional in-line deduplication at the source, XVRS can dramatically reduce the bandwidth and hardware requirements.

Data is deduplicated between nodes, so if a segment of a file has been uploaded by one user, no other user needs to upload it again. After the first transfer, only changes in the files are sent, still de-duplicated and encrypted.

Data segments that are sent across a network can be compressed prior to network transmission and consequently reduce server load, save bandwidth, increase transfer speed and substantially reduce backup windows.
